Our Mission
An Anglican church community
to assist each parishioner in the pursuit of a personal relationship with Christ
through worship, prayer, service and study.
A scripture based church where God is revealed through the study of the His
Word. A discerning church that seeks to understand God’s will, not challenge it.
A traditional church that is recognized by its liturgy, music, and focus on the
family. A warm, inviting church that welcomes all who seek Christ. An active
church whose members share the joy of contributing their time, talents and
treasure in the service of others.
Why?
It is easy to forget that Paul
and the apostles went out into the world proclaiming the Gospel and as soon as a
church was formed in one town they were off to the next town. . . so here we
are, proclaiming the “faith once delivered”, with two thousand years of faith
from such a “cloud of witnesses” as only the obstinate can fail to understand.
The Word of God, Jesus, the light of the world, shows through all the faithful
in community, in word and action.
We are a Communion of Saints, a
“holy nation, a royal priesthood,” however imperfect. God bless this church to
reflect God’s infinite love as shown at Calvary, through all the sacrifices of
our broken and contrite hearts, that the joy of the Lord will fill our hearts
and transform our lives, as he fulfills his “new” commandment that we love one
another. I know all of us feel that joy in being a part of this “new” beginning.
